Hi, I’m Shaland! I have dedicated my life to rescuing animals and it is the most beautiful and rewarding passion of mine.
It brings me so much joy and I truly feel this is what I was put on earth to do. Animals do not have a voice, so I am here to speak up for them. I take in the unwanted, the abandoned, the sick, the injured, the old, and the young, making a promise to each and every one of them that I will find the life they deserve. A life full of unconditional and forever love and care.
Why Adopt?

I am so excited to finally make my rescue official! Introducing Rescue Bae! For the last 6 years, I have dedicated my life to rescuing animals. It is the most beautiful and rewarding passion of mine. Saving over 1000 cats and 200 dogs, my work is never done, always striving to save more and more every year. It brings me so much joy and I truly feel this is what I was put on this earth to do. In rescue, there are very dark times emotionally, physically, and financially. Times that I wonder if I can pull through and continue to do this. But with all of that darkness, comes a bright light. The times all the work pays off and that suffering animal is now living the best, happiest life they could ever live. The times when you connect an animal with their forever family and it feels so meant to be. The times I meet the most amazing people and animals that remind me of all the love and kindness that really does exist in this world. I rescue to make a difference in not only animals lives, but for those that adopt them. I always have loved this quote…”Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever.” I am set to change many worlds one animal at a time.

We have had the pleasure of being both clients and foster parents for Shaland over this past year. She has been attentive to all our foster pets needs and provided support whenever we had questions or medical concerns regarding a specific animal. She is concerned for all the fur babies she brings into her rescue and does her best to find the perfect home for each animal as well as support the foster parents in terms of advice or supplies. She works with the foster parents to make sure an honest assessment is provided for prospective adopters to ensure the new families are aware of the animals needs and not just caught up in the excitement of the adoption. Where do I even begin? My husband and I were hesitant to adopt so we thought we’d try fostering first but Shaland made the process so easy!!She was so communicative and understanding. She provided us everything we needed to foster Ella. Any questions I had I was able to text her and she would text back! She’s so knowledgeable when it comes to her animals!
